Tuscany Honeymoon Guide
Quiet villas, candlelit vineyards and slow mornings.
A Tuscan honeymoon is the antithesis of a resort honeymoon — it is intentionally slow, deeply personal, and built around two or three extraordinary experiences rather than a packed schedule. Done right, the only audience for your week is the cypresses outside the bedroom window.
The most romantic villas
Look for two-person properties or small estates with private pools and no shared spaces — a renovated stone tower above a vineyard, a Renaissance dependance with a private terrace, or one of the small Val d'Orcia farmhouses with views toward Pienza. Our shortlist focuses on properties where you would not see staff for an entire day.
Signature honeymoon experiences
A private vineyard dinner at sunset (chef and sommelier, no other guests), a sunrise hot-air balloon over Val d'Orcia followed by a champagne breakfast, a thermal-spa morning at Bagno Vignoni, a vintage Vespa tour for two, and a private after-hours visit to a small Florentine museum.
A suggested 7-night rhythm
Two nights to arrive, settle and decompress in a Chianti villa. Three nights deep in Val d'Orcia for hilltop villages, Brunello tastings and the balloon flight. One final night in Florence for the Uffizi private tour and the farewell dinner. Travel by private driver throughout.
