Tuscan Wedding Villas Guide

Choosing a venue, planning the logistics, hosting in Italian style.

A Tuscan wedding is one of the most extraordinary parties you will ever host — and one of the most demanding to plan. The villa itself is only 30% of the work; suppliers, civil paperwork, accommodation for guests and transport are the rest. Here is what we have learned from years of running them.

Choosing the right venue

Match the venue to the guest count. Under 40 guests: a private villa with a pool terrace and dining loggia. 40–100: an agriturismo with multiple buildings or a small castle. 100–200: a fortified estate or a vineyard with marquee space. Our 10-property wedding shortlist is grouped by capacity.

Civil, religious and symbolic ceremonies

Civil ceremonies in Italy require paperwork at the comune 30 days in advance — our concierge handles translations, sworn statements and apostilles. Religious (Catholic, Anglican, Jewish) and symbolic ceremonies have different requirements; we walk you through each.

Suppliers, transport and accommodation

Florist, photographer, band, catering, officiant, hair-and-make-up — all vetted, all booked through us. For 50+ guests we negotiate a multi-villa block: your villa for the couple, neighbouring agriturismi or boutique hotels for guests, shuttle buses on the wedding day.
